Hello peeps,
Exciting news!! I was thinking for a while about what can I can give to all of you sweet sweet reader, just so happen I was doing the thinking while trying some dessert recipe. Personally I would keep a simple conversion list in my phone for reference. Hence, I have personally designed a simple baking chart that you can use in the kitchen!!
This conversion chart is absolutely useful (and beautiful hehe) if you guys prefer using a scale rather then measuring cups. Using a scale can help reduce your clean up time! LOL! Great for ppl like me who don't enjoy the cleaning process after baking. This baking chart is handy with all basic conversion that I personally thing useful when baking.
Wait! that is not all, it wouldn't only look pretty framed in your kitchen, you can even framed it up and give it away as a gift! There is 2 size to choose from, if you prefer a bigger chart you can choose an A4 size and if you already have a frame suitable for an 4R photo, feel free to download the 4R size.
Free Printable Baking Chart:
Baking Chart 1 - 4R
Baking Chart 2 - 4R
Baking Chart 1 - A4
Baking Chart 2 - 4R
From the bottom of my heart, enjoy!!!

I have been waiting for a while (*with itchy fingers) to get my hand on doing flower arrangement for hantaran. Finally today I get to practise!! It was not the full spread hantaran as this is for 'merisik'. So there is basically 2 tray and a matching fruit + flower basket.
I can consider this as an express work, since there is no prior planning and survey for proposed design. I basically just went to the flower shop and decided there and then what flower to buy and started making the arrangement and finish it in 1 hour+
Here as some pictures ;) Enjoy!!

Other than baking, I also like to explore cooking. But on a daily basis I like to try recipes that are quick to prepare and fast to cook. Preferably something that take less than 30 min (prep + cooking time) to gobble down! LOL!
So the other day, while walking back from my florist class on Friday I bought corn in a cup. I only ate 2-3spoon, so when I arrive home that evening I decided to turn it into Cucur Manis Jagung (Sweet Corn Fritter). It is something that is quick and simple for anybody to do, a quick and easy teatime/breakfast menu.
I bet even a working wife can prepare it for breakfast for her husband before work, with a lot of determination and multitasking in the morning! I believe this batter can be prepared the night before, keep them in the fridge and fry them in the morning. If you prefer making them for breakfast.
Cucur Manis Jagung (Sweet Corn Fritter)
Recipe:
makes about 20-25 fritter
1 cup of corn kernal (whole or pulse in the blender for different texture)
1 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2-3 tbsp milk powder
2 tbsp sugar
3/4 - 1 cup of water
Instruction
Heat oil on a medium and start preparing batter .Mix corn and all dry ingredient. Add 3/4 cup of water and mix well, add the remaining water if texture of batter is to thick. Fry approximately 1 tbsp per fritter untill all batter is finish.
Enjoy! do leave a comment if you have tried this recipe :)
